Novel Update (and other stuff...)

Fall is in full swing, and I feel the winds of change blowing strongly.
I'm honestly living in a state of minor shock right now. I've spent years trying to get my book out into the world, and now that it's happening I'm not quite able to believe it.
I don't have a firm deadline yet, but I am currently aiming to have the novel out in January or February 2026. The next major hurdle is to find a cover artist (alas, I paint with words, not actual paint). This was also a bit of a shock for me because I had never taken the time to really imagine what I wanted the cover to look like. Sounds silly, right? I'd been so focused on finding an agent or some publisher that I figured the cover would come later. Well, later is now, and a perk about self-publishing is you get maximum control of the book's design, cover included! I hope to share the cover itself with you in the coming months. Stay tuned, this is getting exciting!
In unrelated news, I have had a few new micro-poems accepted with tsuri-dōrō and petrichor, as well as good old Scifaikuest. I am also preparing a haiku chapbook, which hopefully will be published sometimed in late 2026. I hope you enjoy these slices of somewhere else. Links to follow!
Until next time, dear friends!
